Hey,
This post is about me and Alicia's trip to our great gma's. She has alzheimer's and we took care of her for 3 days. I'll call the post "To Grandmother's House We Go". There's not alot to do over there , so we had to find something for entertainment. Here's what went on each day livend things up a bit
Tuesday day 1:
Gma. Betty Jo had already eaten when we got there, so we went to fix ourselves dinner. We decided to make fried chicken with rice, because it sounded good. We experienced some difficulties in the kitchen and ended up with crunchy rice and well, uh... weird chicken, as well as flour all over the floor and counters. After dinner we turned on the TV and watched
"What A Girl Wants". The movie had these freaky twins (like ashley and alicia) called Peach and Pear who looked just alike, dressed the same, and said the exact same thing at the exact same time. HeHe, Now i have new nicknames for Ashley and Alicia.
Wednesday day 2:
After breakfast we decided to go pick some loquats in the backyard. i got attacked by mosquitos and Alicia only got 2 bites. Then Alicia stepped in in poop and I felt alittle better. We climbed the trees to reach some of the better loquats , and noticed that the neighbors behind her have a life-size ceramic cow in their kitchen. It's fiesta colored and bigger than their table, we thought it was kinda weird looking. Later after lunch, we headed outside again. TV was getting old so we decided to play with the tire swing. It isn't very safe so we couldn't swing on it, but we still had fun. We pushed the swing really hard and fast, and took turns trying to stop it as quick as possible, sometimes it pulled us with it. Once, Alicia was crouched over tying her shoe, then "BOOM" she goes stumbling across the yard. After we got bored with the swing, we played mechanical bull with the wheelbarrel. Alicia sat inside and held onto the rim while I rocked it up, down and all around. I tumped her on her face twice , but she wasn't hurt. That nite I wanted to bake a cake. I got out all the ingredients and ran to make a quick pit stop at the bathroom, when I came back , one of my eggs had rolled oss the counter, I cleaned it up and went on with my baking. When I went to tear open the cake mix, it exploded and went ALL over the kitchen!! Alicia decided I needed help. lol We got the ingredients mixed and put the cake into the oven. It turned out nice, Until......... I tried to get it out of the pan. Then it was cake chunks, not a whole cake. :'( It tasted okay, but was REALLY hard to ice. That nite Gma. Betty Jo wanted to stay up late, so we stayed up watching "Erin Brockovich" until 2:30.
Thursday day 3:
Alicia got up sorta early and i got to sleep in, when I got up she was making this soup. It was her own recipe with corn, ramen noodles and alittle seasoning. It was yummy! After lunch we were out to the tire swing again. Later we came in and watched a movie called "Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken". It was about a girl who dived with horses, and it was REALLY good. For dinner we made spaghetti, nothing went wronge and it was DELISH! That nite Alicia and I were listening to some music and i just started laughing, I have no clue as to why but Alicia thought I was nuts. lol
Friday day 4:
Well this time I had to get up early and Alicia slept in. So, I got up ate breakfast and then did the dishes. Bo-Ring! It was raining when I got up so it was sorta gloomy. :( Okay, well, we were leaving today so we had to clean our mess up and wash the sheets from our beds. The other lady who was coming to take care of gma betty jo when we left got there early so, my other grandma came and picked us up. That evening we went to church for this thing call "Middle School Madness". We had a blast. Now I am tierd so i am going to bed. Nighty Night!
